What is the process for obtain licensing rights to an image I have seen on the website?

If you are a new customer, the best way to license an image is to contact our sales department via phone or e-mail. You can also use our Licensing Questionaire. We will ask you a few questions about how you are using the image and provide a price at that time. If you are an existing customer e-mail or call us with the image numbers you would like to order. Your images will be delivered to you via an FTP link.

How is price determined?

Pricing is determined based on the rights being requested and whether the use is commercial or editorial. We take into account such factors as reproduction size, print run or unit count, duration of use, location of image (cover versus interior), distribution (U.S. versus World), etc.

Is there a discount if I am using multiple images?

If you are purchasing rights to a "bulk" number of images, a discount may apply. Contact our sales department to discuss discounts.

How are Royalty Free images licensed?

Licenses granted for Royalty Free images are always non-exclusive, worldwide for all media and may be used by the licensee multiple times for multiple projects with no additional fees. Image use is limited by the number of image users (up to 10 people permitted). The licensee may not transfer or sublicense the license, the license is only granted to the licensee. There are very few other restrictions placed on the image use.

What are the other restrictions?

The licensee may not:

• sell, sublicense, assign, convey or transfer any of its rights
• license, sell or distribute the product that allows s end users access or extract the images as a stand-alone file
• post, upload or distribute the image(s) online in a downloadable format use any image in a defamatory, pornographic, libelous or otherwise illegal manner
• incorporate the images into a trademark, logo or service mark
• if image is used in an editorial manner, the credit s name/Collection name/Visuals must appear adjacent to the image.

How are Royalty Free images priced?

Pricing is based on the size/resolution of the image purchased. Please note that actual file sizes are approximate, actual sizes may vary. Standard pricing is based on up to 10 users of the image. If more than 10 users are needed, the fee is increased. Please contact our office for pricing for additional users.

What is your cancellation policy if I order images and decide not to use them?

A cancellation must be made in writing by Licensee within 30 days of receipt of the licensed material and such licensed material must not be used by Licensee. A cancellation fee may apply, please contact sales for further information on this fee.

Can I pay with a credit card?

Yes, we currently accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

If I did not find what I was looking for on the website, can I contact you directly?

Yes, you can contact us and we will search the portion of our collection not available on line.

How do I take advantage of your photo research services?

We offer full photo research services free of charge. You can send us your photo request list via fax, e-mail or by calling us. Our photo research team will research each request, select the images that closely match what you are trying to illustrate and create a digital light box for your review. You will receive an accurate, well-organized submission, in 28MB 300dpi x7a time frame that exceeds your deadline.
